There's a particular quality to a BEKBEK set, the sense that every transition carries intention, that the music isn't just played but guided, like a conversation between the DJ and the room's unspoken state of mind.
Based between Paris and Lisbon, BEKBEK is a DJ, electronic music producer, and poet who refuses to be confined by genre. His sets weave through house, techno, trance, drum & bass, lo-fi, ambient, not as a display of eclecticism, but as an emotional language. He calls his approach "atmospheres": conceptual sonic worlds with their own arc and logic. Clair Obscur, his signature set, alternates between sun-drenched house and dark, driving techno, a meditation on duality rendered in rhythm. Dead Trance, his track ID, channels the raw, hypnotic energy of early trance into something entirely present.
His path to music was unconventional. Trained as an engineer in applied mathematics, BEKBEK carries an analytical mind into deeply intuitive territory, structuring emotion the way others structure equations. This tension between precision and feeling runs through everything he does: his productions, his poetry, his approach to sound.
In 2023, he founded Radio Pluton, a creative radio project dedicated to the idea that music is more than entertainment. Part radio, part living art, Radio Pluton explores musicothérapie and the healing potential of carefully curated sound. BEKBEK handles production, sound capture, and post-production himself, treating each broadcast as a sonic environment to inhabit rather than simply hear.
On the dancefloor, his mission is visceral: to draw out what's buried, to let neuroses dissolve through movement. His sets aren't hypnotic or linear, they surprise, they shift, they breathe. The goal isn't to lock you in a groove but to take you somewhere you didn't expect.
